NanoPV Solar to Become the Largest Solar Panel Manufacturer in U.S. at the Ted Baldwin Business and Technology Park, Sumter County, Georgia, Creating 500 Jobs

Sumter County, Georgia, October 7, 2021. “We are very excited to locate a new United States manufacturer of solar panels within Sumter County. I knew this county was the best fit for NanoPV Solar because the governments here appreciate this particular business genre and work together to overcome obstacles. In addition, this is the perfect time to begin as a solar manufacturer within the country’s current green climate. We expect NanoPV to position to lead the United States in this rapidly growing industry,” said Rusty Warner, executive director of the Sumter County Development Authority.

NanoPV has entered into an agreement with the Development Authority on a building at 301 Martin Marietta Drive, Americus, Georgia. The manufacturer will employ 500 people with higher-than-average wages by the end of its second year, within a multi-million-dollar investment, with five-year employee projections of 2,000. The company has plans to expand the 56,000 square-foot building within a few years. According to Ranford Herman, NanoPV Chief Business Development Officer, “The location’s space will allow for effective panel production with an annual capacity of 250 megawatts, with a planned expansion to 2,000 megawatts in five years. This could make NanoPV the largest solar manufacturer in the United States as per the country’s current production capacity.”

NanoPV has patented technology with commercially proven, high-energy efficiency, fully certified solar panels, with pre-orders from U.S., Asian, and African markets. On this topic, Development Authority chairman Paul Hall summarized the effect NanoPV will have nationwide: “We are building a strong green community in Sumter County, which will have other offshoot companies clamoring for inclusion. This project not only supports our immediate community through jobs, new citizens, and spending, but also supports the U.S. economy and U.S. energy security.”

Led by a solar technology inventor-scientist, Dr. Anna Selvin John, NanoPV panels will play an advantageous role in the U.S. market with IEC, U.L., CA, TUV, and RoHS certifications and performance standards. Dr. John is a world-renowned scientist in the field of solar energy, inventing important third-generation solar technology. With over 25 years of experience, his technology and inventions are used all over the world.
