Americus Wins 'Micropolitan' Designation Through Site Selection Magazine!

Congratulations, Americus, Georgia, for winning this year's Top Micropolitan designation. Within our category of 536 competing possibilities, Americus tied with Waycross for the number 55 position. This national competition included six other Georgia winners: Jefferson, Calhoun, Bainbridge, Dublin, Fitzgerald, and LaGrange. Jefferson ranked number two.

This designation denotes Americus as a top-performing city based on economic development projects with significant impact, landed in 2020, within population rankings.
