Exciting news, everyone! Sumter County has again made headlines in this month’s Georgia Trend Regional News issue! The article “Gamechangers,” by Tom Oder,” highlights the county’s recent achievements, including the success of Americus/Hardee Fresh and the new Broadband grant.

For those who may not know, Americus/Hardee Fresh is beginning construction and will become a thriving produce distribution company and a significant economic driver for the county. Its success will create jobs for the community and put Sumter County on the map regarding vertical agricultural production.

Perhaps most excitingly, the County has seen many great expansions in recent years. These expansions have brought new businesses and opportunities to the area, creating a more vibrant and industry-diverse economy.

In addition, the county was recently awarded a new Broadband grant, which will help bring high-speed internet access to more people in the area. This critical development will help bridge the digital divide and provide new opportunities for education, entrepreneurship, and more economic growth.
